The word means “breathing in”.

I suppose that is what I do, I “inspire” the world, if you can use the word like that.

I live enthusiastically, me and the (natural) world around me, realizing everything is connected - I watch the birds and they watch me!

My personal senses are pretty on it, meaning very, busy, which means my mind is always churning along to observe, or hear, even touch or smell…which makes for lots of triggers that may just come and go and be forgotten,…or not…some stick, bringing a feeling, an image to mind, for instance a field of corn stalks in a row, in the snow, getting through the long winter, just like us. I like to look at the rhythmic lines.

Grasses in a pond that remind me of bobbing heads, every winter they turn blond and dry, every spring they grow green spikes and eventually have a mop of green “hair”, how still they stay in their pool of water.

I enjoy the yearly cycle, every year and every season different yet reassuring.

Sometimes a conversation, a poem or some news…a piece of music captivates me.

Everyone knows that music brings back past experiences, a scent can do the same…even a fabric, its texture, the color combination, who wore it, associations of the past, my childhood, what I remember and why. In many instances these moments in time bring a feeling of well being but not always. Sad feelings and loss occur too like anger sometimes and powerlessness about the goings on in the world at large.

Whatever it may be, when something touches me profoundly and inspires me, then I will find a way to express it, in whatever medium is most appropriate. In other words, an inspired problem needs to be solved, so I look for a way to express it.
